Summer temperatures require summer activities

So it is April..in Texas and it hit about 90 something yesterday.  So we decided that waiting to swim is for chumps and we were getting out the pool.  So Parker had his first swim experience on April 1st!  I am so happy that both my babies LOVE the water because I could swim everyday.  Last year Hannah and I started getting in the "big" pool on May 10th.  Yes we are amazing but we love it.

First 6 months

Parker is 6 months and other happenings

Parker is 6 months today!!
I cannot believe this precious baby is having a half-birthday!
He is the sweetest baby every and we love him more and more everyday!
This month Parker is sitting up like a champ!  He has been sitting for the last month but has really mastered it for several minutes.  We will start working on getting to sitting position next.  We are planning on starting cereal soon.  I am really in no rush, thinking about the misery I had trying to push food down Hannah.  I really just want him to learn to eat instead of just drink.  He had been constantly bouncing from one activity toy the the next always getting tired after 10 minutes or so.  He is still very much in 3-6 month clothes but you can tell the sleeves are getting a little short.
We started sleep training him during spring break and he has mastered the long nap.  He sleeps at least and hour 2-3 times a day and my life has changed!  I can get so much more done now, but if I miss his nap window I only get about a half hour so he is not very flexible with it.  He is sleeping through the night about 1/2 the time.  Most of the time going down at 8:00, waking up a little at 12:00, feeding at 5:00 and waking up for the day at 7:00.  He also got his first two teeth this month!

This is Parker escaping his play gym to play with the cabinet handles instead.
Here are some shots of Hannah.  Watching Daddy mow, (I love that this occupies her time) and her making her angry face/voice, it is quite hysterical.
Sister and brother love.  Notice the tiara on brother.  He will have an opinion about dressing up as a princess someday, but not today!

Parker 6 month stats:
15.6 lbs - 20%
26" long - 25% (same length as 4 and 5 months!)

Parker 5 months

Parker is 5 months today!
I cannot believe where the time has gone!
At the same time it feels like he has always been here.

He is growing beautifully and becoming more active everyday!  I can no longer leave him alone in the swing, Bumbo or bounce seat without strapping him down super tight.  He will climb and wiggle right out.  I started grabbing his mobile on the swing to stop it from spinning.  He thought it was hilarious.
Parker loves tummy time which I vowed to never make my child do after Hannah hated it so much.  I just makes me realize how much she was hurting from acid re-flux.  I thought all babies hated tummy time but I was wrong!  Parker started taking a pacifier this month, praise God.  I love pacifiers as you can tell from thispicture that my almost 4-year-old still uses hers.
Parker is almost sitting.  I you get him in the right position he can sit for a minute or so by himself but he has to really want to.  He started "crawling" on his back using his head like a caterpillar.  It is super weird to watch but he arches his back and pushes himself with his head to get places.
He is still in love with his sister and loves to go on outings with her.  He started eating once in the morning then anticipates that we will be out having fun until nap-time (1:00ish) and doesn't need to eat again until we get home.  It is bizarre to not need to stop and eat every 2-3 hours but I am loving the freedom, especially since we are still exclusively nursing.  I tried to get him to take a bottle this month but he really didn't like it at all and I am always worried that if I do get him to take it he will want to stop nursing, so I am not stressing out about it.
He is out of 0-3 month clothes and on to 3-6.  We are now using cloth diapers as much as we can at home and disposables when we are out of the house.  This is working well for us since I can just use what I feel like.
Parker is still sleeping about the same, from 11:00-7:00 but sometimes goes to bed a little earlier.
His naps are all over the place, we may need to start working on that some this month :) I never scheduled Hannah's naps and she became very sleep deprived. But she also never slept as good at night.
I love him so much and can't wait to see what happens next!
Parker's 5 month stats: 14.4 lbs

Parker's First Valentine's Day

Today was Parker's First Valentine's Day!
First off I am not a huge fan of this holiday.  If I didn't like cute outfits and crafting we probably wouldn't celebrate it at all.  I get the positives for notching out a special time to show that you love someone, but really, shouldn't you show them you love them everyday?
This year I decide to replicate my friend's valentine's idea and we had a great time.  Hannah and I made special dinner and dessert for Daddy and we put on cute dresses for dinner.  Parker slept through it all :)
I loved not making a big deal with presents.  Hannah did get a couple of small things and a book.  Parker just got a book and everyone got beautiful cards.

It was a great day!

Parker - 4 Months

Parker is 4 months today!  I can't believe how fast timing is going by!  He is becoming a happier and more beautiful baby boy everyday.  He rolled over for the first time on Monday, January 30th playing on his play gym.  He has started loving spending time on his jumper, hitting the lights and music buttons and spinning the toys.  We have been playing a lot of dollhouse with the jumper right next to us on the floor.  He has also been enjoying the swing on the rare occasion that I get some embroidery work done.  He is still so smiley and giggly cooing and razzing at us.  He also has slept through the night two times now.  Today the doctor said to not get him in the middle of the night if he is not crying out, but this precious boy rarely cries out!  When he does wake up in the middle of the night he is talking to himself or sucking his wrist.  We started some 3-6 month clothes a few weeks ago but he can still fit into a lot of 3 month clothes.

Parker's 4 month Stats:
13lbs 13oz (less than last month I think it was the empty belly or scale difference at the dr today) 25%
26in long - 75%
Went to the Dr today and everything was great!  We got two shots and one oral vaccine
