A day in the life...

One of the blogs I follow had a "typical" day of her and her son {a month younger than Hannah} . I thought I would blog about the adventures Hannah has in a typical day.
I will only blog about the time in-between naps roughly 9:00 am to 12:00pm because that is her prime mischief, I mean adventure, time!

After Hannah wakes up from her morning nap I need to do the breakfast dishes because turning on the sink will wake her up from her nap. When I am done I enter the living room and find this.

I look for Hannah and find her glued to the T.V. {A new discovery of her actually watching. Up until a couple weeks ago she would only pay attention to music and/or puppets.}

I turn the T.V. off because this is not a good use of her brain power, or a good way to have an adventure. She finds me in the kitchen and her first stop is the pantry. This is one of the only two doors in the house I have a child proof lock on {not that she can open doors anyway}, but for some reason I can't remember to shut the door, ever.

After I shut the door Hannah shows me the treasure she has found. A sample of Splenda and a straw from a Capri Sun. {look for these items in later photos}

Hannah quickly notices that I am in the fridge cleaning up something that was sticky {I can't remember what it was, it happens too often.} This is one of her new favorite places to scoot to as fast as possible when the opportunity arises.

I close the fridge and she remembers her favorite drawer, the only one not baby-proofed, for her enjoyment. She begins to empty it and dance.

Now I am done in the kitchen. I change her out of her P.J's and we go outside. Hannah proceeds to her favorite place of adventure, behind the glider. She gets stuck back there and cries.We try not to let her go there but sometimes it is unavoidable.

I get her unstuck and she creeps to the flower beds. First to the beautiful hydrangeas, delicately plucking of the petals, {and trying to eat them} then to the daisies pulling off as many flowers as I will allow before the bush looks too bad.

We go back inside and as I am making us water cups, she finds our shoe bucket, tips it over and proceeds to pull out all of the shoes.

I have to change her clothes after water and lunch because of how messy we get. Then we have our book time to calm down for our afternoon nap.

I hope you have enjoyed this "day in the life of Hannah's adventures!"
She is going through a wonderful curious stage and we are loving every minute!

Well, this post is a little self-serving.
I have started a monogramming business called My Little Pumpkin Designs and I have been monogramming Bibs and Burp Cloths and hopefully more things to come. I added a link on the side of my blog to my Etsy shop if anyone is interested or go to www.mylittlepumpkindesigns.com -Thanks!
Here is a photo with sample of a bib on Hannah {how can I post without a picture?}

"I pity the fool!"

We have found a new absolute favorite toy in our house...lots and lots of beads. If any of you reading know Hannah, more times than not she is wearing her "bracelets." Which are two teething rings and one circle toy that lights up and plays music. Well now not only does she need the bracelets but she wants to wear the necklaces as well. She is definitely a girl!

Quick Update

Just a quick update, Hannah is FINALLY pulling up by herself! She could do it for months but needed to hold a finger to do it. Also she is cruising like a mad woman. She walks around all of the furniture all day going from one piece to the next. We have strategically placed her exersaucer and her play table to bridge some of the gaps!

Also Preston and I started her on a new schedule and it is working really well. She goes to sleep in her bed awake and is sleeping through the night {with a few small wakings here and there} We are on our way to being a toddler!
